THE ICONIC product data API

The ShopAPIS THE ICONIC product data API returns AUD/NZD price and RRP, brand, the full size and colour variant matrix with per-size availability, category, images and markdown state for any THE ICONIC product — as clean JSON. Fashion data lives or dies on the size/variant matrix, and ShopAPIS captures every size’s stock status so you can track which SKUs are selling through versus sitting in markdown.

THE ICONIC is the #1 fashion and apparel marketplace in Australia and New Zealand, with ~17M monthly visitors. Founded in Sydney in 2017 and part of the Global Fashion Group / Zalando lineage, it carries a rich, clean fashion catalogue spanning hundreds of brands across womenswear, menswear, kids, sport and beauty for both AU and NZ shoppers.

Why THE ICONIC data is hard to get

THE ICONIC has no public product API, and fashion catalogues are deceptively hard to parse cleanly. Each style explodes into a size × colour matrix where availability changes per size, prices move with frequent markdowns, and theiconic.com.au applies commercial bot defences — rate limiting, fingerprinting and dynamic markup. Capturing per-size stock and original-versus-current price across thousands of fast-rotating styles is the real challenge. ShopAPIS handles routing and parse maintenance and returns a structured variant matrix with RRP and current price in the correct currency. Parse difficulty here is medium.

Data fields returned

  • Identifiers — THE ICONIC product ID, brand, style code, GTIN where present.
  • Pricing — current price, RRP, markdown/sale flag, currency (AUD or NZD).
  • Brand & taxonomy — brand name, gender, category path (e.g. Womenswear > Dresses).
  • Variant matrix — size and colour combinations with per-variant availability.
  • Availability — in-stock per size, low-stock flags, sold-out sizes.
  • Attributes — material/composition, colour name, fit where listed.
  • Content — title, description, image set (multiple angles).
