Kogan product data API

The ShopAPIS Kogan product data API returns AUD price and RRP, own-brand (1P) versus marketplace (3P) seller, availability, rating and review count, spec attributes, variants and images for any Kogan product or SKU — as clean JSON. Kogan blends a large first-party catalogue of Kogan-branded electronics and home goods with a third-party marketplace, and ShopAPIS normalises both into one schema so you can tell own-brand pricing from reseller offers.

Kogan is now the largest standalone domestic Australian marketplace following the 2025 exits of Catch and MyDeal, and it is spending heavily on marketing to capture the displaced share. It draws ~5–10M monthly visits and reported revenue of ~A$489M (FY2023) across Kogan Marketplace, first-party retail and adjacent Kogan Mobile/Energy lines.

Why Kogan data is hard to get

Kogan has no public product API, so competitor pricing is only available by parsing the storefront. kogan.com uses standard commercial bot defences — rate limiting, request fingerprinting and periodic markup changes — and mixes own-brand listings with marketplace seller offers on the same page, which makes clean attribution non-trivial. ShopAPIS handles the routing, fingerprint rotation and parse maintenance, and explicitly separates Kogan-branded 1P listings from third-party sellers in the response. Parse difficulty here is medium.
