Amazon Australia product data API

The ShopAPIS Amazon Australia product data API returns AUD price and list price, Buy Box ownership, Prime/availability, best-seller rank, rating and review count, the full variation matrix and images for any ASIN on amazon.com.au — as clean JSON. It runs on the same global Amazon parser as every other Amazon locale, so one integration covers Australia alongside the US, UK and EU domains.

Amazon Australia is the #1 Australian marketplace, having overtaken eBay in 2023, and draws ~75–88M monthly visits (2025 estimates) with the region’s largest range and fastest logistics. After the 2025 closures of Catch and MyDeal, Amazon AU absorbed much of the displaced generalist demand, growing both its first-party retail and its third-party marketplace.

Why Amazon Australia data is hard to get

Amazon runs one of the most aggressive anti-bot stacks in retail. amazon.com.au sits behind Akamai-class edge protection, device fingerprinting, behavioral bot scoring and frequent layout/HTML changes, with hard rate limits and CAPTCHA challenges on suspicious traffic. The official Amazon SP-API  exists but is seller-gated — it only exposes your own catalog, not competitor pricing or the Buy Box. ShopAPIS absorbs that infrastructure (residential routing, fingerprint rotation, parse maintenance) so you receive consistent AUD-denominated JSON instead of a scraping stack to babysit. Parse difficulty here is very high.

Data fields returned

  • Identifiers — ASIN, parent ASIN, GTIN/UPC/EAN, model number, seller SKU.
  • Pricing — current price, list/strike price, currency (AUD), coupon/deal flags.
  • Buy Box — winning offer price, seller name, fulfillment (FBA/FBM), Prime flag.
  • Availability — in-stock status, stock messaging, delivery estimate.
  • Demand signals — best-seller rank (BSR) by category, rating, review count.
  • Variants — size/colour/style children with per-ASIN price and availability.
  • Content — title, brand, bullet points, A+ content presence, images.
  • Category — full browse-node taxonomy path.
